• We recommend airing duvets and pillows regularly. Open bedroom windows in the morning and shake bedding down slightly, so absorbed moisture can evaporate, letting the fibres breathe before covering with a bed cover.
• Never vacuum, or beat them, as this can damage the product.
• We recommend washing pillows, duvets and protectors every six months and using pillow and mattress protectors to extend their lives and protect from stains.
• We have developed our ranges to be suitable for domestic machine washing (except for our silk collection). However, for the best possible results and durability, we recommend professional laundering.
• If you would like to wash at home, check your machine capacity. Usually one duvet, or two pillows, will fit in a large-capacity machine.
• Drying is very important to protect both natural and synthetic fillings – it must be totally dry, so it is not damaged
• Depending on your tumble dryer’s drum size, it may take up to four, or five, hours to dry thoroughly.
Different fillings have different care requirements and individual care labels will give you the best instructions if in doubt…
Use a non-biological detergent to protect the down and wash as per the care label – usually 60°C on a gentle, hot-wash cycle – which is the temperature that will kill dust mites. Spin at the lowest setting.

The natural fibre is very fine and smooth, therefore a small amount of filling migration is unavoidable. Try not to catch, or pull, any loose fibres. For the best possible results, do not wash in a domestic washing machine. We recommend professional wet laundering.
