In line with UK government and international directives, we aim to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2040. By 2023, we will implement our Environmental Management System and be in a position to accurately measure our carbon footprint and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. From this point, we will be able to set annual targets and measure our performance to achieve this ambitious goal as early as possible.
We have signed up to the British Retail Consortium Climate Action Roadmap targets. We aim to meet electricity targets by 2030 and gas, fuel and refrigeration targets by 2035. We are also participating in the BRC Sourcing Sustainably and Operating Efficient Sites Powered By Renewables roadmaps.
