When it comes to bedtime, nothing beats the feeling of cocooning yourself under a cozy comforter. Whether you love the whisper-light warmth of down, or a plumper, weightier texture, our collection of natural and hypo-allergenic comforters promises to keep you the perfect temperature all year round.
Quality lies at the heart of everything we do. That's why we've searched the globe to ethically source our natural comforters from Denmark (home of the world's finest natural feather and down) and worked hard to create the most luxurious hypo-allergenic alternatives imaginable. Whichever comforter you choose, rest assured that each and every one is rigorously hand-plumped after being made, creating a perfectly even, fluffy fill.
• Down feels supremely light and lofty; the higher the down percentage, the lighter the comforter will feel
• Fine feathers are renowned for their plump and supportive tendencies; the higher the feather percentage, the warmer the comforter will feel
• Clever internal box constructions provide even warmth and a row of buttons means most can be joined to a second comforter in Winter
• Each natural comforter is encased in high-quality cotton, which prevents the filling from escaping
• Our natural comforter have a 10-year guarantee
• High-quality fillings to ensure they feel luxuriously down-like for years
• Small clusters, micro fibres, or hollow fibres are used to ensure each comforter can be effortlessly re-plumped
• Some ranges are washable at 60°C, the temperature known to kill dust mites, making them a great choice for children and allergy sufferers
• Can be machine-washed and dried with ease
• Our hypo-allergenic comforters have a five-year guarantee

Fill Power
Fill power determines the loftiness of a down filling. The air trapped inside the comforter is warmed by your body heat, helping you get a good night’s sleep. Large down clusters have a high fill power, meaning that less filling is required for a warm comforter. As a result, you’ll have a fluffy-yet-light, luxurious comforter. The largest clusters are typically collected from large ducks and geese. Please note, this applies to feather and down fillings only.
Difference Between TOG And Fill Power
TOG, otherwise known as ‘Thermal Overall Grade’, determines how well a comforter can insulate heat. The rating describes the thermal resistance of an entire comforter for both fabric and filling. Fill Power indicates the loftiness and how much space is taken by the filling of a comforter. The higher the fill power, the warmer a comforter is going to keep you. For example, a 13.5 TOG duvet filled with 85% feathers and 15% down would be heavier in weight, since it requires more filling material to obtain the TOG rating, whereas a comforter filled with 100% down with the same TOG rating would be much lighter in weight.
Tog is the term used to describe the warmth of a comforter. The higher the tog’s number, the warmer the comforter will feel to sleep beneath. As a general rule, we follow the below guide for each season.
Some of our comforters have clever joining mechanisms, which means they can be attached to a second comforter to provide the desired warmth. Please see individual collections to discover which styles can be joined together.

While babies under 12 months shouldn’t sleep with pillows, or duvets (we recommend using a baby sleeping bag without a pillow), a child’s first duvet should be very soft and hypo-allergenic.
We recommend replacing your comforter every five to 10 years for the best results. Yours might need replacing if: your comforter is discolored; you notice it has a cold spot; your duvet feels flat, lumpy, or you wake up wheezy.
We offer bedding guarantees on The White Company bedding essentials. These are categorized based on their qualities and craftmanship. We offer two-year guarantees on pillows, which absorb more moisture and require replacing more frequently, and 10-year guarantees on our feather collections, which are more long-lasting due to the natural fibers, which don't clump.
