A brisk and booted frosty walk, the smell of pine trees and the lingering cold air with every breath you take. But the best part is what comes afterwards: returning home to a crackling fire, a chunky throw and a warming cup of chocolatey deliciousness. Which of these will be your favourite?

Marshmallow hot chocolate

Ingredients
250ml whole or semi-skimmed milk
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp sugar, to taste
30g milk or dark chocolate
10–12 mini marshmallows

Method

  1. Pour the milk into a pan and bring to a simmer over a medium heat. Add the cocoa powder and sugar and whisk it all together for a smooth, velvety finish.

  2. Finely chop the milk or dark chocolate into slivers with a large kitchen knife.

  3. Pour the warmed milk into our Snowflake Mug and top with 10–12 mini marshmallows, followed by the chopped chocolate.

Ingredients
250ml whole or semi-skimmed milk
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp sugar, to taste

30g grated milk chocolate

50ml Baileys

1 wafer roll stick

Method

  1. Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring to a simmer, before adding the cocoa powder, sugar and half of the grated chocolate. Use a handheld milk frother to create a foamy texture.

  2. Pour the Baileys into our Burnham Heart Mug, then add the frothed cocoa mixture, stirring as you go.

  3. Top with the rest of the grated chocolate and, for a decorative touch, garnish with a wafer roll stick.

250ml dairy, or plant-based, milk
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp sugar, to taste

Cinnamon powder

A generous squirt of whipped cream (dairy or vegan) 

Mini marshmallows (optional)

Method

  1. Heat up the milk in a small pan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Add the cocoa powder, sugar and a pinch of cinnamon powder.

  2. Whisk it all together for a smooth finish, before pouring the warm mixture into our Snowflake Mug.

  3. Top with a generous amount of whipped cream and a small dusting of cinnamon. For an optional garnish, add a few mini marshmallows on top.
